2024 CISP Conference in Rome

“Peace has lost its reputation. What can we do? We must reaffirm peace as a human right. Peace must become fashionable again.”

With these words, Professor Mario Giro, an external guest, contributed to the 2024 CISP Conference, held in Rome from November 20 to 22.
 
The event brought together 60 colleagues from over 20 countries, reaffirming the importance of direct exchange and shared experiences.
As always, the conference provided a valuable opportunity for discussion, debate, and mutual discovery. It was a moment of reunion for those who had not seen each other in a long time and a chance to welcome new faces to our organization.
 
We tackled critical issues related to humanitarian crises in areas where we are active, such as Sudan, Lebanon, and the Sahrawi Camps. We focused on our work in key areas: education and training, environmental protection, and the development opportunities offered by culture and sustainable tourism.
 
Reflecting on the many facets of our efforts, we rediscovered our shared mission: to continue weaving, together, the thread that connects human rights to real people.
