To improve the living conditions and restore the livelihoods of the most vulnerable families
Description
The project provides a mixed response of food assistance and economic support to help improve life conditions and restore the livelihood of families affected by acute food insecurity, displacement and epidemics in the Province of Central Kasai, Democratic Republic of Congo. This approach provides a humanitarian response to the basic needs of beneficiaries in the short term and promotes improved living conditions in the medium-to-long term.
The development of the agricultural value chain in terms of production, storage, processing and marketing, combined with training and advocacy activities for better access to land gives the most vulnerable families the possibility to meet their basic needs, access essential services and maintain their livelihood, while ensuring their protection.
